Why our Pinatas are Better!
Authentic | Handcrafted | Easy to break | Bright and Colorful | Larger in Size
100% hand-made using wires, newspaper and colorful tissue paper for decoration
Manufactured made of cardboard
The authenticity of our piñatas comes from the people that make them, their place of origin (Guatemala), and the material they are made from.
Compared to typical cardboard, mass produced piñatas, the material we use for our piñatas is flexible, durable and attractive, making them beautiful, easy to shape and easy to break.
The bright colors that are used attract people of all ages making our pinatas stand out.
Not only are they bright and colorful, but because they are hand-made, many of our piñatas are larger in size than other piñatas.
Pinatas are a popular party activity in many Hispanic cultures. Guatemalan pinatas are traditionally formed out of wire to give shape to the pinata.
Newspaper is then glued on to form thick walls. Then tissue paper is applied to make the pinata decorative.
Then everyone takes a turn hitting the pinata until it breaks. When it breaks, candy and treats spill out of it.
In Guatemala children's parties frequently feature pinatas, hollow decorations filled with toys and treats. Blindfolded children attempt to break open the pinata with a stick to release the treats inside.
Weddings in Guatemala often feature bell-shaped pinatas that are filled with raw beans, rice, and confetti.
